WARNING TO THE READER : Slight SPOILERS for series and movies. However, since it's written overly poetically, one might not notice most of them.

And now...

The Grace Machines

A parody to Dave Matthews Band's

"The Space Between"

You cannot tame them so quickly
There's no hope in humanity

Such big hands that could squeeze he
But they get all the plugs from her, Rei

The Grace Machines
The gods they fight
It's the Adam keeps them coming back for more
The Grace Machines
Fight wicked, vast Angels
That hope to be all whole again

But will the fight ever end?
These jumbled, SEELE words don't agree
Like "Will it end today?"
Sure, the past is shocking, mocking
It's all a game Gendo's playing

The Evas fly
Tore her frame apart
When she dies, we'll cease to be
The Grace Machines
From heaven or from hell?
'Just hope we don't kill God in vain

Will they clone her again?
Will they clone...

Look at them fighting now in a battle of a mad beserker
You know she fought hard like the devil in a lurch

In the proud face of most certain doom
All we can do, Kaji my love
Is hope children won't tare this world down

The Grace Machines
Where he runs and hides
Where we're blind to all love has to show
The Grace Machines
His regrets as souls reunite
Is where Shinji is hiding, waiting to lose
Blood stained rag doll
Hangs on her heart
Ran like madness as she opened into...
The Grace Machines
Such wicked lives
Is where we hope to keep safe from blame

Make a stand
'Cause Lilith's walking out of here
Oh, the end is near
The body disappears

The Grace Machines
What's Adam's right
Is where he'll find him smiling, holding onto
The Grace Machines
Your pain and mine
Is the grace we'll see in time
The Grace Machines....

Author's Note: I know Eva readers tend to dislike song parodies and humor associated with Eva, but at least I avoided one of the two. Still, sorry. I am normally, however, a comedy parody writer (and with one exception, I do avoid poking fun at Eva,) so if this was not your cup of tea, I encourage you to check out my other works, particularly the Trigun ones (where comedy is a bit more acceptable and "believable".)
