Dear Diary…

December 17, 2004

At last, today is my birthday! I just turned 17, and I only have one more year till I become an adult. Instead of having a joyful birthday like everybody else, nobody even remembered it WAS my birthday. I received no presents or cards, not even from mother and father. Well, I don't think they would even buy me anything, for what they did to me and my life. And frankly, I don't think I am going to send them a Christmas gift if they can't even remember their own daughters' birthday.

Even school didn't go so well. We had double potions with the Slytherins (as usual), and, the old greasy bat partnered me up with Malfoy. Yes, the amazing bouncing ferret. He didn't do any of the work, and just to piss me off, he tripped me, making me fall flat on the face. I was so pissed that I almost hexed him to obliviation, but I knew Snape would take off like a hundred house points.

I'm not even talking to Harry or Ron, since I found out they were only using me as a homework helper to finish their homework. I found out they didn't even like me, and they called me a filthy little bookworm who does nothing but read. That really hurt me, and I slapped them both. Ginny, of course, is taking her brothers side so you know what? I want to be resorted. And, much to my shocking mind, I want to be moved to Slytherin. All of these goody goody Gryffindor's is so irritating, and since I want to make this my best year to remember, I want to cause lots of mischief. I know I may sound crazy, but this is what I want to do, and I am determined to do it.

A/N: So, how was that for a start? Should I continue? And, by the way, the whole story wont be in Diary form. I will probably alternate from Hermione's diary to the real story. Please review and flames are welcome.
