"Merry Christmas Elsa"
"You too Anna, I've missed you." She catches me in a fierce embrace causing us to wobble furiously before righting once more. The long month of business agreements between ourselves and the neighbouring kingdom had obviously taken its toll on my betrothed however her newly restored vigour was obvious.
"Anna you look as beautiful as the day I met you, do you remember?" How could I possibly forget? I nod in reply as she continues. "You ran into my horse, I had to catch you before you fell into the fjord."
"Yes but if I remember you are the one who is barely able to ride said horse." She blushes adorably before continuing.
"Then you stuffed yourself with chocolate before telling me this was the first ball your father had let you travel to unaccompanied and that you were very excited to be seeing the coronation as you had yet to be in the presence of a member of the royal family. I hadn't the heart to inform you that I was the soon to be Queen." She turns crimson as I take her hand. "I remember you nearly choking when you saw me in the Abbey the next day. I was so nervous I was worried I would freeze the entire room. But then I turned to you..."
It was my turn to blush. '"You have been my heart and soul for the past five years, they have been the best years of my life. I have gone from a girl who truly thought no one would want to go near me and my magic to a woman with confidence with the most adorably spontaneous partner by her side. Thank you for agreeing to marry me however I have a small surprise for you." I look up to her with questioning eyes to find her own searching my face with concern, what could she be searching for? I nod slightly before she gives a small sigh almost to herself.
"Anna, I'm pregnant." What?! How?
At my wide eyed silence she carries on. "I didn't think it possible either but after consulting grand Pabbie he has concurred, when one with a magical heart forms a bond with another then there shall be no forces stopping that union, it has the power to produce an heir if and only if both parties are certain of their loyalty. The child is created by the unbreakable bond." She brushes the tear that has started to fall down her cheek. Before stroking my own, I lean into her without breaking eye contact.
"I love you Anna and I'm delighted to bear our first born, but only if this is what you wa-..." Her sentence is cut off by the attachment of our lips as I hurl myself into a kiss I nod my head as we continue our passion. Of course I want a child with her. She may be nervous around new people, worried about her control of her powers and her country and be on occasion exceedingly uptight but I knew the real Elsa, and she would make one hell of a mother to our children.
That Christmas proved to be one of the most interesting I had ever had.
