Leanardo undid the bandages on her hand and looked over the healing cut with a small smile. The last couple of weeks had been hard on her, but she could feel herself coming around again.

It was just as well; she never liked being upset… or split in half, for that matter.

Lea was applying new bandages when a shiver ran up her spine, and it wasn't because of being cold. Her eyes widened when she recognized the unmistakable feel of magic again.

Oh come on! Can't I get at least a little break?! She arose from sitting and tried to run, as if that would help her case any. No good; Lea could see the world around her get bigger and bigger, and she tripped over the now too-large wrappings around her legs.

"Ow!" A juvenile voice came out of the little turtle as she hit the ground. The wraps from her arms had fallen over her hands, cushioning her fall when she caught herself. Lea carefully scooted back until she was sitting down, and looked around at the mess of oversized gear. She didn't know what had happened or what was going on or where anybody was, but she had fallen down and that scared her. Her lip quivered before she burst into tears, crying out loudly for someone to find her.

Leo had been catching up on much-needed sleep when the sound of crying reached him, drifting through the echoing spaces of the lair. He was out of bed and staggering toward it before he had fully dragged himself awake. He had enough time to register that the crying sounded young — awfully young, before he stumbled into the open and spotted the source of the crying.

A tiny little turtle sat in the midst of a pile of oversized gear, and Leo didn't need the oversized blue mask sitting around her shoulders to tell him it was his twin.

Stupid magic. Can't it give it a rest for ONE day?

He approached her carefully, not sure how much of her memories the magic had left intact, and knelt in front of her, his smile warm and comforting. "Lea? What's wrong, little sister? Why are you crying?"
