So I had a short-ish exchange with one of my reviewers, Kampe, and somehow we got to the topic of "Where was Arceus during this whole mess...?" So, in response, I wrote this short little one-shot to explain why Arceus did absolutely nothing during my stories. Because, he/she/it is a god, after all...

Why Arceus Didn't Do Anything

Rumors and legend hold that somewhere, extremely high up in Destiny Tower, is a legendary artifact known as the Destiny Globe. They also speak of a statue; a statue that holds so much power that one can barely stand to look at it for more than a few seconds at a time.

These rumors, these legends… they are true. The Destiny Globe does exist, as does the statue. However, for the select few that do manage to find the lofty summit of Destiny Tower, the statue is not all that it would seem at first glance…

Destiny Tower

Summit

"Yes! After five years of trial and error, I've finally made it to the top!"

/You… what is your name?/

"Where did that voice come from?"

/I am Arceus! I have resided inside this statue for nearly seven millennia, waiting for the one who is pokémon, yet somehow still human, to find this place that I may give them the Destiny Orb./

"Okay… so I don't get the treasure then?"

/Are you human?/

"No idea, but I'd think that would mean I'm not."

/Then leave this place, and never return!/

With those words, the intrepid explorer was thrown from the room atop the tower, miraculously landing on the floor at the bottom without harm.

"But I finally made it!"

Meanwhile, back at the top of the tower, the statue's voice filled the empty room.

/I wonder when they will show up. I mean, I've been in this statue, waiting for them to show up, for a really long time, and some bad stuff has probably happened while I've been holed up here./

So yeah, I speed wrote it, but I like how it turned out, and it gives that little bit of extra insight into why stuff goes so horribly in my stories.

Also, I don't care if anyone reviews for this story, I'll be fine.
