Disclaimer: I do not own Sailor Moon, clearly.
Author's notes: Hi Everyone! Just letting you all know that this is a rewrite of an old fanfic of mine. There is a problem, that being I have very little idea of where I was going with this, and so if it seems pointless at times, please realise that I do know this and I will work out a replacement plot of sorts. That being said, I hope you enjoy reading this, and if not I honestly don't blame you. :P
"Do you really think that we made the right decision in leaving Serena home alone for two whole days? She's only 14 after all and, well, not the most graceful of teenagers," Irene asked her husband as they drove back through the familiar streets of Juuban.
"I assume so. After all, we never got a phone call or anything of the sort suggesting she was in trouble, and she has those friends of hers to look after her. They are very protective of her," Ken chuckled, thinking of the four girls their daughter often hung out with whenever she left the house.
Irene turned around in her seat to check on the two children. "They're still asleep Ken, I think they stayed the entire night up with the Tayaka's kids watching Naruto," she chuckled. "No matter how much they deny it, Serena, Rini and Sammy share some personality traits."
Ken smiled, slowing down and stopping at a traffic light. "Just don't let them hear that, or we'll spend the rest of the drive home listening to them attempt to persuade us otherwise."
"Too late," a young girl's voice murmured as she woke up. "And we are nothing-is that meatball head?!" She exclaimed, surprised.
The two adults looked on their left a few metres down and saw their daughter's back pressed hard against the corner of the telephone box. In front of her, they could just barely make out the form of a man in front of her.
"Honey! That's her!" Irene gasped. Furious, her husband drove the car down into the first driveway they saw and stopped in front of the doors of a shop and was out of the car before Rini and the now-awake Sammy could tell them where they were.
"Stay here kids," Irene ordered before getting out of the car.
Rini turned to Sammy. "We have to get Andrew, Sammy."
Her "cousin" nodded, getting out of the car with her, but stopped, grabbing her wrist. "He's coming already," he told her, watching as Serena's friend ran out the doors, quickly followed by four young girls. Unnoticed, the children followed the group to the nearby phone box, where Ken was yelling at an older man in his 50s, who was standing in the doorway of the telephone box, his arm up blocking Serena from walking out. The blonde looked absolutely terrified, and clearly had been crying by the look of her red eyes and the tear tracks on her face.
"-to my daughter!" They heard Ken shout.
"I will not allow her out of my sight until I know who or what caused her such pain, regardless of the fact that she is your daughter," his stern voice calmly informed her parents.
"Kunzite! I demand you to get away from her!"
Everyone focused their attention onto Mina, who despite her pale and clearly horrified expression was still glaring at the older man, and standing in such a way that indicated that she would attack him at a moment's notice.
