A Ode to My Prince.

So far he has yet to come, and my wish hasn't come true.

I haven't experienced true love's kiss, so I won't say I'm in love, but when somebody loved me, everything was beautiful. Still, I know I can go the distance. I'll jump into my racing car, singing Sugar Rush; it's just a matter of time before I learn how to fly. I've got no strings to hold me down.

I haven't been on a magic carpet ride, and no, I have not seen you once upon a dream. I am not a part of your world, nor have I ever experienced a tale as old as time. Yes, I know I'm just an outcast, but I will chase the wind and touch the sky. I'll be there for you, if you'll be there for me too; the bare necessities of life will come to you. You'll have a friend in me. I've got my troubles, you've got 'em too, so let me be good to you. My arms will hold you, and keep you safe and warm.

You'll be the best thing I never knew I needed; you ain't ever had a friend like me. I know you're just around the river bend. Give a little whistle like Mickey, so I can find you, it's a small world, and always let your conscience be your guide. I'll be the gal singing her scales and arpeggios.

To you, I'll be a girl worth fighting for, while still being as strong as the coursing river, and you'll be the king I know you are, for I know our love will find a way. Because for the first time in forever, I've finally let it go, and now love is an open door and at last I've seen the light, so if I dig a little deeper (with a smile and a song, of course) I'm sure I'm almost there.

But, prince, should I say "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", would you ever find it atrocious? Or if there's a bluebird on my shoulder, or if I'm singin' "Oo-De-Lally" after seeing an elephant fly?

If not, then we'll fly off to Neverland, of course, and we'll have a jolly holiday, before finding a little patch of heaven way out west. We'll be a crazy team, we'll make a scene, and we'll be sharing all we've got together, and though we may not have a dime (livin' on street savoire) oh, what a whale of a tale we'll be. We'll be the best of friends, I swear on my tattoo. We'll paint with the colors of the wind, and stand out above the crowd.

Cause for a moment, just a moment, our lives are made in these small hours, these little wonders: Where you'll belong to my heart, now and forever, for there's a great big beautiful tomorrow, shining at the end of every day, where we'll celebrate the un-birthday's (a merry one to you, I add), and in one fond embrace, until we meet again, someday we'll find it, the rainbow connection. For the lovers, the dreamers, and me; we'll sit together, now and forever, as it's plain for everyone to see, we're simply meant to be~
