A/N: My friend has recently got me hooked on Death Note and I adore L and I am particularly obsessed with the Light and L pairing. And finally, I've decided to do something about my obsession. Yay! Well, since I haven' read all the manga/watched all the anime yet…I don't know everything, so please excuse me if I get things wrong. Thank you kindly.

L had been intently staring at his computer screen for several minutes. Light had also been absorbed in searching through data on his own computer in hopes of finding an elusive clue. However, his diligent searching was soon put on hold by L.
"Raito-kun," L said calmly, chewing on his thumb.
"What is it, Ryuuzaki?"
"You smell like sex."
Everyone else in the room let out a startled gasp of surprise.
Normally, Light would have been calm and controlled, trying his best to combat the detective's suspicions of his as Kira. However, Light was not going to let L get away with saying something so personal in front of the whole investigation team without even looking away from the computer screen.
Light resisted the urge to tackle L and punch the living daylights out of him. But he couldn't control his angry speech.
"What the hell was that for, Ryuuzaki? How do you have the nerve to say that when you probably smell the same way I do?"
"No," L said distractedly.
"Yes you do," Light practically snarled. 'We both had sex last night and don't try to pretend you're innocent."
"Of course not, Yagami-kun," L said in the same detached tone. "What I mean is that I had a showed last night and you fell asleep on the floor outside the bathroom before it was your turn to shower. Thus I had to drag you back to your bed and regretfully, you have not had a chance to bathe yourself since."
Light blinked, suddenly confused. "So you're not denying that you slept with me?"
"Of course not, Raito-kun. What would I profit from lying?" He turned his intent stare on Light, as if suggesting that only Kira would find lying rewarding.
"If you're trying to embarrass me in front of everyone by discussing something like this, you're not doing very much to keep yourself out of it."
"That was never my intent, Raito-kun." L cocked his head to one side and blinked as he inspected Light. "I apologize if Raito-kun feels that I have revealed too much about his private inclinations. I feel no shame in admitting such things."
"Okay, if you're not trying to humiliate me, what are you doing then?"
"Just pointing out that you stink, Yagami-kun. Perhaps you should take a shower."
Light ground his teeth together in frustration and inwardly cursed himself for ever becoming attracted to the infuriatingly observant detective.
