Broken, Part 1
I can't believe this is happening.
I've been left behind.
After Iraq, I swore that would never happen again, to me or anyone on my team.
I guess I failed at that.
I'm not even sure what happened.
All I remember is that we were running to the Gate, and suddenly, I collapsed.
Sometime later, I woke up in a world of pain. I think I broke my back; it sure hurts like hell.
There's no sign of my team anywhere.
I never thought I'd actually be glad to be left behind.
At least it means they made it home.
