Ok, first off, this is my first Supernatural fic. I wanted to get something short out to test the idea. This is based more off a folklore-esque work of fiction, but the series got away with putting Lovecraft in there, despite not being too too rooted in religion or lore. Just take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Prologue

?, ?

". . ."

". . ."

". . . I know you are there, my child. Please, come in."

"Thank you, Mother."

"You seemed troubled. Is there something you wish to tell me?"

"Yes. . . It's about Kaguya. I couldn't find her."

"Just like the last search."

". . . I did find this."

"Her robe. I see. . . I wish I didn't have to tell you, but I stopped sensing her presence some time ago. She might not be-"

"Mother, it's alright. I already know. Kaguya wouldn't dare leave without it. How it happened, I do not know."

"It must be those loathsome humans. I have not seen many, but I have seen what they can do. I never imagined that one could produce acts more despicable and disgusting than regurgitating cuisine like bile."

"Perhaps. I will prepare the rites-"

"Wait, Kumiko."

"M-Mother?"

"A goddess of the moon- your sister and my daughter- has been murdered by the mortal scum below. And I think I know exactly who would do such a thing. They slaughter and pillage in the name of protecting others, yet treat their killings as nothing but a lucky hunt. People. . . No, monsters like that cannot be allowed to live. Take Kaguya's robe. You can use it's power to turn one against their own. Choose your pawn wisely and they will slaughter each other in the fray. Your sister deserves to rest peacefully and we need to prevent this from happening again."

"Yes, Mother."

"And. . . Kumiko."

"Yes, Mother?"

"Promise me you will return safely. And make sure your little sister doesn't meddle. I can't bear to lose another one of you so soon."

"Ah, Kiyoko is sleeping anyhow. I won't be long and I don't want to disturb her."

"But you know how she always tries to run off and see what man does during the day. If she gets involved, there is no telling what could happen."

". . . That is true. You are right, Mother. I'll wake her up for a good scolding and tell her to stay put. And I promise to be safe."

"Thank you, my child. I last felt Kaguya in a continent to the west. The humans call it America. Now go- God's speed. I will pray to Tsukuyomi for your safety."

SPN

So I have not seen all of the show. Frankly I have not been able to return to Supernatural since Bobby died in season 7. But I also want to do my best continuity wise. So let's have pole: At which point in time do you think a story like this fits? I know where I want it to go, but that doesn't mean a second opinion will not be helpful. I want to get this right. So comment and let me know what you think. I'll be working on the next part. Later!
