A/N: Hi there! This is me and not my sister. She is in no way involved in this fic. Anyway, I decided to write a series of songfics about the monkeys using Evanescence songs. As you may have guessed form the title, it's about the secrets they keep (or the ones I made up for them anyway). Anyway, I'm going to start with Antauri using the song Imaginary. Hope you like it! BTW: Song lyrics will always be in italics. "stuff" talking. 'stuff' thoughts.

Also, I'm thinking of starting a SRMTHG role playing site but I don't want to do it if no one will join. If you're interested in joining, please let me know in a review or something. Thanx in advance!

Imaginary

Antauri approached his room after yet another day of listening to blaring warning alarms and fighting monsters. He listened to the gentile mechanical swish of the door opening and gazed into the room with his bright blue eyes. It was in this room that he would find sanctuary.

I linger in the doorway

Of alarm clocks screaming

Monsters calling my name

He entered the room, headed to the center. It was a perfect environment for meditation, and the perfect conditions for him to escape. As he reached the center of the room he crossed his legs and hovered a few feet off the ground. He closed his eyes, taking deep, steady breaths. In his mind he was no longer in his room, but in another world very different from Shugazoom. There were no large buildings and no monsters. Instead, there were large fields of bright blue grass and pink rivers running through the landscape. Everything was alive and everything had a story to tell. He smiled inside himself.

Let me stay

Where the wind will whisper to me

Where the raindrops

As they're falling tell a story

Part of him yearned to stay in this place forever, but he knew he could not. He was still needed in reality, which, in the end, was really the reason he would come to this place.

In my field of paper flowers

And candy clouds of lullaby

I lie inside myself for hours

And watch my purple sky fly over me

He didn't let anyone else know about this place, or his reasons for going there so often. It was a very abstract concept that they probably wouldn't understand. It even sounded absurd to him at times, maintaining sanity by escaping reality and going to a world that existed only in his mind. Deep within himself he knew he had created tis world because he didn't want to deal with reality. He hated to admit it, but it was true.

Don't say I'm out of touch

With this rampant chaos - your reality

I know well what lies beyond my sleeping refuge

The nightmare I built my own world to escape

In reality, everyone thought he was so strong. He was looked up to and even admired. So much was expected of him, but he didn't want that. He wanted to be carefree, like he was in the world he created.

In my field of paper flowers

And candy clouds of lullaby

I lie inside myself for hours

And watch my purple sky fly over me

He felt that visiting this world was more vital now than it was before, now that he knew death. He feared that feeling. In death there was nothing but silence and blackness. It was all empty. As long as he could dream, he knew he was not dead.

Swallowed up in the sound of my screaming

Cannot cease for the fear of silent nights

Oh how I long for the deep sleep dreaming

The goddess of imaginary light

"Antauri!"

In my field of paper flowers

'No! Let me stay!'

And candy clouds of lullaby

'Not yet! I want to stay!'

I lie inside myself for hours

'But I mustn't. I'm still needed in reality.' He opened his eyes slowly to see Chiro standing in the doorway.

And watch my purple sky fly over me
