It was a nice, normal Saturday morning. Not. Of course if Fate didn't mess with my life I would not be called Shinichi, much less a Kudo. After all death loved to follow me. Like finding another corpse in front of your- freaking- lawn.

Right.

My story started when I got a phone call from Hattori Heiji, my best friend. One of the two people who kept me sane during the 'Conan Fiasco' as I dubbed it, along with Kaitou Kid.

Really, Kid's heists were like the only thing that reminded me I was a high school student, not a child. Shinichi really hated being treated like a kid.

Hattori told me that he was visiting and I told him that he could stay at Kudo Mansion. Then Ran found out and invited Kazuha for a 'girl's night out' before the 'detective geeks' attracted corpse and went on another case.

Thus the reason why she was standing in the mall looking lost with Ran, Sonoko and Kazuha in god- knows- where. Leaving her all alone to go to the cafeteria. She was content, sipping a coffee Slurpee and reading her favorite book, Sign of Four.

She sat in a booth. It wasn't long before they came back. With a guest. Wait, make that four guests. Nakamori Aoko and Hakuba Saguru, she knew but she didn't know the other two. A female with purple- ish hair and a mae with messy brown hair. From their uniforms she decided they were students in Ekoda High. Probably Nakamori- san's classmates.

"Mou, Shinichi how come you're reading. Again." Ran said. (Read: Yelled)

"Demo, I was bored! With nothing to do!" I rebutted.

"This is a mall! How can there be nothing to do?" the wit.., sorry, Sonoko asked.

I shrugged.

They sat down. After the waitress took their orders the introductions began.

"Gonbangwa, Kudo -san. How are you?" Hakuba- kun asked, politely.

"I'm fine. Arigato. So, hi, I'm Kudo Shinichi, tantei. Nice to meet you." I said. I definitely did NOT want to lose my head because I was rude.

"Ah, I am Koizumi Akako. It's good to see the Raven." Said the one with the purple hair. Creepy.

"Kuroba Kaito, at your service, ojou- san." Said the messy haired boy.

"Now that we are all acquainted… what do you think about Kid- sama's heist tomorrow?" Sonoko, ever the fan girl, said. (Read: Hollered)

"What do you mean, Kid- sama? It's Kid or the annoying bastard that deserve to go to jail!" shouted Nakamori- san. Then they got into another argument.

Seriously don't they ever stop?

Demo: is 'but' in Japanese.

Gonbangwa: is 'hello' in Japanese for evenings.
