AUTHOR'S NOTE: This takes place during the seventh book but there are no major plot spoilers. You've been warned. Also note, that Jen is my character and I own the rights to her. Also the only thing you need to know about her for this short is that she is friends with Harry, Ron, and Hermione and thus has been part of their escapades including their stints at the burrow since day one. She is currently dating George Weasley.

Jen jumped off the broomstick shortly after it had touched down in the backyard of the burrow. She was a pretty girl with long wavy brown hair and brown eyes. She was currently dressed in Harry's clothes, which hung baggily on her small frame, though the polyjuice potion had worn off. She and the member of the order she was traveling with had been delayed by Voldemort's attack. She walked over to Harry who had run out into the backyard.

She pushed Harry's glass up on to her head and gave him a hug, "We thought you might be dead."

Harry shook his head and the looked down at her feet, which were bare, "What happened to your shoes?"

"Flew off sometime after I changed back….guess we're not the same shoe size. Are the other's back?"

"Only George and Lupin."

"Don't yer worry, he lost some blood but he's gonna be fine," Hagrid said, coming out of the house and into the backyard.

"Blood?" Jen asked, before running into the house.

"I shudn't have told yer that."

"Oh my god," Jen said, when she saw George all bloody. He was missing an ear after all, "What happened?"

"Snape…lost an ear," George shrugged, "Don't worry though look I'm holey," he said with a grin, obviously feeling a bit better.

"George Weasley you are the most insufferable," Jen began.

"From now on when you yell at me could you do it near this side?" George said, pointing at the hole where he is ear use to be, "so I don't have to listen."

"You stupid," Jen began punching him.

"Hey! I'm a crippled," he said with a smile before stopping her and kissing her.

She softened, "I thought you were dead."

"I'm fine, no worries."

The pair smiled at one another.
