AN: Written for Challenge 1 of daisydl on LJ. I used parts of the lyrics "Save me from myself " by: Christina Aguilera in it. It's quite short but I hope you'll like it.

"Danny!" Lindsay awoke with a start. Immediately he was by her side. He saw tears falling down her cheeks as the pale moonlight fell onto her soft skin. He caught her in his arms and tried to comfort her. "Shh, it's okay" he said and stroked her hair. "I'm here"

"I thought I'd lost you" she started to cry.

"You will never lose me, Linds. This I promise you. I'll always be there for ya. Alright?!" she nodded.

"I know it's not so easy loving me. It gets so complicated" Lindsay sighed as she finally cuddled into him. Awaking from the same nightmare she had now for over three weeks, she tried hard not to think about the past few weeks.

She remembered how scared she was as she finally saw him. She felt so sorry, because he'd taken her shift.

He wasn't supposed to be there.

She was.

Ever since then she blamed herself for going back to sleep in his arms as he'd told her to, instead of staying awake with him.

Who knows what else could have happened to him?

"It's okay. I'm here for ya. And I'll always be. I'll never turn away from you, no matter what. I hope you know that." Danny said and kissed her forehead. Lindsay nodded.

"Thank you. Every day I'm amazed by all your patience, Danny. Everything I put you through and it seems that you're always waiting with your open arms to catch me" she started to sob against his chest.

"Hey," Danny lifted her chin with his hand. He kissed softly her tears away and smiled at her. "Don't cry anymore, little country girl" Lindsay smiled back at him.

"You know how to keep me smiling."

Danny smirked. "Well that's my job."

Lindsay smiled. "Thank you, for being there for me. - You always save me from myself. I cannot imagine why I deserve that you love me"

"No, Linds" he said serious. "You saved me from myself. You've been my strength, through it all. And you don't have to ask me why I love you. I simply do. And I always will."
