She couldn't find her car keys anywere.
"Dad-gum nelly whopper!!!"she cursed, pulling up the leather couch cushions and searching under them.
"Oh Alice," Jasper rang from upstairs, a now farmiliar sound to Alice."I think I have somthing you might want."
Alice rolled her eyes and sauntered up the stairs, totally unprepaired for what she saw.
There was Jasper, clad in only a towel, dangling the car keys high above his head.
"Thanks Jazzy," Alice squealed, reaching for her shiny prize.
Jasper lifted the keys a bit higher, just out of Alice's reach.
"Jaaaaaaazzyyyyyyyy," Alice whined. "gimme the caaaaar keeeeeeeeeyyyyyysssss."
"Were is it that's so gosh darn important to get to?" Jasper asked as innocently as possible.
"I'm going shopping so gimme the keys!" Alice demanded, holding out her hand and starting to tap her foot.
"Shoping again?" Jasper asked, genuine dissapointment in his voice. "Stay here today Aly, we'll do somthing fun!"
As soon as Alice grasped his meaning, Jasper winked at her and started back down the hallway to their bed room. The towel slung around his hips was riding dangerously low, and fell as he went through the doorway.
Alice was torn, a mental battle raging in her head. Jasper, shoe sale. Jasper, shoe sail. Jasper, shoe sail.
Oh what the hell, she thought. I'll buy the shoes at regular price.
With her decision made, Alice strided confidenlty to her bedroom, ready for the night's adventures.
