His eyes narrowed to concentrated slits as he watched the balls over his head swinging slightly back and forth. His eyes darted back and forth as he surveyed the swinging pendulums.
"Hey, baby! Whatcha doing?" He ignored the voice that was set to keep him from his prey.
Back and forth, back and forth, he watched the balls swing, and then he struck, his claws deadly fast . . . Puss' thoughts shattered as Donkey screamed. Even as what sounded like a herd of buffalo began to ascend upon them, Puss realized what he had done and sheepishly sheathed his claws.
