Ok so I wrote this while I was sick and I'm typing it at 1am after spending 6 hours on a geo project after having 3 cups of coffee in an hour and now I have officially crashed… but anyways! Tell me if it's good or not.
Disclaimer: I do not own anything primeval, besides possibly a few papers with quotes from the show- not mine – that are everywhere! Including in mine and two friends lockers :) but I will ask for a Stephen action figure- just like the one James Murray has, except I won't use it as a door jamb :) oh and I don't own man tracker either.
Summary: Nick doubts Stephen's tracking abilities.

Title: Man Tracker
He inhaled deeply, smelling the moisture in the forest air.
The sun was setting and he could only see a few paces ahead of him.
The forest seemed alive. He could hear every movement, every noise that the animals made, but that wasn't what he was searching for.
Straining to hear more, he held his breath. A branch snapped somewhere to his left and he turned towards it.
That little noise was what he'd been waiting for and he took off in the direction of the sound.
At approximately the right spot, he slowed down and looked at the ground.
There was a slight depression in the dirt.
It could be nothing, just a natural imprint, except there was another dent just ahead of it, then another, forming two identical paths- Foot prints.
Then he found the branch, and it confirmed what he'd heard only moments before- it had been stepped on.
After that the indents became deeper in the toes and lighter in the heels, meaning the person was now running.
The foot print was large, bigger than his own, obviously belonging to a man and indicating he was getting closer to his target.
He ran as fast as he could just beside the tracks, one eye focused on the ground, the other focused on his surroundings.
A flash of white caught his eye in the mix of deep green and he turned towards it
There, cornered between the tracker and a rock wall, stood Nick Cutter, looking somewhat like a deer in the headlights.
Stephen smiled. He'd always liked watching Man Tracker.
