Keeping Focused

Keeping Focused
I watch him in the corner of my eye. He looks tired, really tired.
I don't care if he's tired or what, he needs to be focused on training. Training's the only things he needs right now... and for the rest of the years he'll accumulate if he doesn't master it now.
Focus. Training. Time.
Things that rule over my regime and agenda. Things that should also rule over Asakura Yoh's laid-back, lazy, simply naive mind... now.
You think that over years of training under me, Kyouyama Anna, he'll probably learn a thing or two.
Guess again.
Sure, his endurance is progressive and his wit's sharper now but that doesn't mean he had the initiative to train. He still needs me to push him, to threaten him, to force him to train. Better yet, kill him if he pisses me off... and if he fails to cook dinner right.
Asakura Yoh, lazy bum and naive slacker.
Kyouyama Anna, powerful Itako and mindful trainer.
A weird combination for two people who will someday be married.
Yes, he's my fiancee. A lazy, good-for-nothing guy who has the potential to be the Shaman King.
I see that in him. That's why I strive to keep him alive until he saves the world from the clutches of Hao, idiotic scientists, scratch that, necromancers, and Ainu tribemembers until he succeeds. Then I can kill him off.
You're wondering why I mention the word 'lazy' often.
I have a reason for it.
Because Asakura Yoh wants the world to be simple. He sits under a tree all afternoon listening to his blasted earphones instead of running around the block twenty-five times in a row. He sleeps when he's supposed to be doing vine excercises. And he doesn't have the courage to counter me, its either he's just too lazy to do so or was it the reason I slapped him the last time he tried?
Focus.
I keep that in mind. I need to be the most powerful Itako.
Training.
I view that as excercise. I don't want ghosts to think I'm weak. I'll bind them if they do.
Asakura Yoh.
I wonder why that came up...
Despite his laziness, he's not at all bad looking. Especially that weird, naive smile of his. He could use it to soften the enemy before disposal... It's a good weapon... at last, he's good for something.
He's best checked into if he thinks you're not looking. Believe me, Yoh can be annoying sometimes.
Annoying because his character is hard to analyze.
Annoying because of his smile.
Annoying because I love him.
This maybe one of those days that I'm in a different mood.
Or maybe I'm being too truthful.
It's hard to be harsh and controlling him all the time. But changing that is a no no. Life's that way, our routine.
Oh God, he's back. This is different... a smile.
Can't let a smile melt me down, keeping focused is one more thing to do. No, the only thing to do.
