This is my first Christmas fic. Written on Christmas Eve (even though it doesn't feel like it) and posted God knows when. Hopefully on Christmas Eve but to be honest it depends when the internet ban is lifted.

Disclaimer: I do not own Bleach. If I did Orihime and Ichigo would have kissed by know and Hinamori would be living in a mental institute.

Rukia sighed. She'd stayed too long again. All those unnecessary emotions; friendship, jealousy; they were all coming back again. Not that they had really ever gone away but still. If she didn't leave soon she that probably would never leave.

It was Christmas the next day. She would spend it with Ichigo and his family then leave while they were sleeping.

She glanced over at Ichigo's sisters they would be sad gone but they would get over it given time.

Morning broke and Rukia was woken up by excited voices and Ichigo's dad's yelling. She got up and dressed in the best outfit she had, a pink dress with little bunnies all over it. Then she pulled out the presents she had carefully wrapped weeks ago.

By the time she got down stairs it was already hectic. The house had been transformed into a cavern of tinsel, fake snow and just about every Christmas decoration she could think of. There was even a life size Santa that said Merry Christmas every time someone walked past it.

The living room was full of presents and people. There wasn't just Ichigo and his family, but Tatsuki, Orihime, Chad and Ishida had all come round.

She sat down and everyone piled gifts on to her. In fact she barley managed to hand hers out from under the pile. They laughed, and she laughed.

But then something stopped her. She shouldn't be getting attached. This was what happened last time.

As the day continued she started to forget again. It wasn't long till she had completely forgotten and was just enjoying being there with them.

She smiled and thanked each of them for her presents and they did the same back. She was happy, any way it wasn't often that you saw Ichigo getting tied up like a mummy in a scarf that was much too long for him. Apparently Orihime had been making it for three years which explained the length.

After they'd had lunch the games started. She took part in them all, though like Orihime she didn't always understand the rules properly and sometimes added knew ones while pretending that she did.

All too soon it was time to sleep and people were going home.

Feeling tired she climbed in bed and chatted to Karin and Yuzu for a while. They soon fell fast asleep and she was left in a happy silence.

As she slowly slipped into sleep she realised she wouldn't be leaving. Some times unnecessary emotions were needed. You did need things like friendship for without it everyone would be unhappy.

She decided to stay as long as she could, to enjoy all the time she had and when she finally had to leave to always remember the good times and never regret staying for the time she had.

Rukia finally fell asleep with a smile playing on her lips.

That was kind of short. It's suppose to be about Rukia's feelings about being in the real world colliding with the things that she is suppose to feel as a soul reaper.

It is not suppose to have any hidden romance in it for anyone that is wondering, and if it does then that wasn't intentional.

Thank you for reading and have a very Merry Christmas.
