It has often times been said that you should never judge someone without walking a mile in their shoes. I suppose I never really did understand what that meant exactly. But I do now.

It is easy for others to judge me and think of m what they may without first understanding who I am. I have been called the weak link of my team and an insult to girl bladders everywhere. While it is true that I do not posses Emily's intelligence or Julia's confidence. I have not Ming Ming's charisma or Mariah's heart. However what I have and what I have gone through has made me a stronger person then they could ever imagine.

I have faced the devil and survived. I have been through countless forms of abuse by a man named Jean Paul Barthez, who dared call himself our father. The man who inspired pure fear within my very being. I have faced that demon and I have won.

My soft voice and quite nature lead people to think of me as shy and weak, yet I am the only blader who knows the true meaning of sacrifice. I destroyed my best friend in a suicide mission so that my team might have a chance at defeating the world champions. I broke my heart and tore my soul apart on that day. How many of you can say the same thing.

Now for those of you who assume me to be the weakest member of my team and inadvertently dragging them down. It is true that Miguel was a great beyblader as is Claude. And people have always assumed that Aaron was above me even though he never proved it. That just left me, the unofficial little sister. Of course it was easy for people to see me as just cute and helpless. What with my pink hair and high voice. Even now that thought makes me laugh.

I will admit that at one time or place these assumptions of me would have been correct. But through this past year I have learned more and become a much different person. So now even though all you see is the happy smiles and hear the cute little voice keep in mind what I am about to tell you.

I have faced the devil, sacrificed my best friend and sold my soul. But even through all of that I still stand here today proud and strong. I regret nothing I have done and will continue to live my life with what I have learned.

I am Strong. I am Feirce. I am Mathilda and I will continue playing the game that I love until it's game over.
