The Final Moments: Waxer
I sat there.
I waited as pain enveloped me
I waited for the pain to overcome
For it to bring my final breath
Captain walked up
I heard him, a whisper
I heard against the pounding in my ears
from the adrenaline filled heart
Who did this? Who ordered this?
I waited for the thought to come.
I waited for my mind to clear.
I waited for the memory,
the memory of the man
with the bulging throat
and the red eyes
who dared call himself
Master,
General,
and Jedi,
Krell.
He had told us.
He had set us up.
Him. HIM.
He had told us lies.
His arrogant head felt reason
His unexplained unknowledgeable reason
to kill off his own men
Krell.
I hear my voice,
quiet and hoarse
I feel water trickle down
I see my brothers
All those brothers
all those men...
and Numa.
I had let her down
I would never go back to see her
For it was my duty
to die on the battlefield
in my brother's arms
As I waited
for death to come
