A Person Worth Saving

Disclaimer: I do not own Snape or Poppy.

A man dies, after being bitten by a magical snake. His spirit leaves his body, and goes to a place where his kind goes after they die. He meets people that he knew in his past, and they were glad to see him again. Also they had a message for him. It was not his time to die yet. He has to go back to his body, for there is someone who will save his life. He would not know whom this person is. This person knows of him, and what he has done in his life.

The man is Severus Snape, and the magical snake is called Nagini. Nagini belonged to Lord Voldermort. Voldermort was the one to send Nagini to bite Snape. Voldermort and the snake left after the deed was done.

This man's spirit went back to his body. He felt potions being poured down his throat. He opened his eyes, and saw that his rescuer is a woman. Snape felt something on his neck, where Nagini had bitten him. It was stopping his blood from pouring out of him.

He tried to talk, but his voice was rough and raspy. The woman had a bottle of water with her, so she gave him some to drink. He was able to talk after this. Snape also told her that he needed to go back to Hogwarts to the hospital wing. He had his wand in his hand, so he conjured a stretcher, and with her help managed to get on it. Snape told her to take the stretcher, and him back to Hogwarts.

It was slow going at first, but they managed to leave the Whopping Willow without being hit by the tree. They made it to the castle, but there was only the stairs to get up next. Snape was on the stretcher.

Snape told her, "The stretcher had to go over the stairs to get to the door."

With his wand, and the woman's help they managed to get to the top of the stairs. They went into the castle, then Snape told her where the hospital wing was. They finally arrived into the hospital, when Poppy noticed the two of them.

Poppy could not believe what she saw. Snape was on a stretcher with a woman she had not seen before with him. Poppy directed the stretcher to a bed, and levitated Snape unto the bed.

Poppy turned to the woman, and then asked her, "Who are you?"

"My name is Maureen. I was in Hogsmeade and wanted to investigate the Shrieking Shack. I went into the shack, and saw this man dying on the floor. The first thing that I did was to check for a pulse. His pulse was weak, and he was covered in blood as was the floor. I decided to check his pockets to see if there was anything that could to save his life. He had potions in his pocket, so I decided to give him these potions. I lifted his head, and poured each vial of potions down his throat. The vials were labeled so I knew what they were. Then I put this patch on his neck, it stopped the blood, from pouring out," replied Maureen.

Poppy asked her, "Do you know who this man you have saved,"

Maureen told her, "Yes I do know who he is, he is Headmaster Snape. I know what he has done in the past, and I had no right to judge him. So I just tried my best to help him. I hope that he will be alright now. I must now take my leave of you, and return to where I come from."

Snape told her, "Thank you for saving my life. Have a safe journey to where you are going too."

Maureen left Hogwarts, and returned to Hogsmeade, and then made her return home to Canada, to her daughters, in the future. Maureen was only a muggle, but she was still able to save a wizard's life. It also helped that she was in the right place at the right time.

Snape made a full recovery, and later wondered what happened to the woman that saved his life.
