AN: I had to write this back in 9th grade as well. It's when we read the Elephant man. I made Buffy and Angel his doctor.
Here's the task: Create a script in which two people discuss visiting John Merrick. Your character may be Hospital workers, Fashion society memembers, or some of Crenshaw's friends. (To prepare you may want to reread sections with Dialogue by characters of the same social class) 300+words.
Dr.O'Connor and Dr.Summers were on there way to the Isolation ward. They were told by the Chairman to go or they would be fired.
"This is so not fair us getting forced into this meeting" Dr.Summers says looking over at her Husband.
"I know it's not let's just get it over with "Dr.O'Connor says looking at Dr.Summer's as they arrived outside John Merriks room.
Dr.O'Connor knocks on the door to John Merricks room. There was no answer so he slowly opened the door. What they saw inside made them both want to hurl. But there doctors so it's not like they don't see this everyday. What they saw was a 21 year old man who was badly deformed in every part of his body exact for his left arm. His lips were turned inside out. He had tumors all over him of all sizes. He had a really bad smell. AAll the chairman told them is that he can talk and he understands you so don't say anything stupid.
"Hello John I'm Dr.Summers and this is Dr.O'Connor" Dr. Summers says looking at John while pointing to her husband.
"Hello John" Dr.O'Connor says with a smile.
"Hhhheeelllllllllllllooooooooo" John Merrick says looking at them.
"How are you feeling today?" Dr.Summers asks with a small smile.
"Better than yyyyesterday" Merrick says with a little Difficulty.
"That's good John" Dr.O'Connor says.
John Merrick now stands up and walks very slowly to his desk where he was building something.
"What's that you're building John" Dr.Summer's asks impressed by what she saw.
"It's a church I can see one from my window and I am trying to build it from what I can see" John says pointing out the window.
"Well it is very Beautiful Maybe you can show me how to make one some day" Dr.Summers says with a smile.
"Did you have enough to eat today?" Dr.O'Connor asks with a little concern.
"Oh yyyesss I had plenty to eat and drink" John responds looking at him.
"Well that's good" Dr.Summers says still looking at the church on the desk.
"Do you know Dr.Treves" John asks out of nowhere.
"Oh yes John he is one of our friends" Dr.O'Connor says with a smile.
"I really like him he is very nice to me" John says looking at a picture on the desk.
"Who is that if you don't mind me asking" Dr.Summer's asks looking at the picture.
"Oh on miss that is my mother. It's my only picture I have of her" John says smiling at the picture.
"She's pretty" Dr. O'Connor says looking at the picture.
"Thank you very much mister" John Mirriek says looking up from the picture.
"We better get going we have other patients to go and treat" Dr.Summers says walking towards the door.
"Okay hope you come and visit soon" John says watching them open the door.
"Bye" Dr.O'Connor says walking out the door.
When they made it outside they walked down the hall.
"That wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be" O'Connor says looking at Dr.Summer's with a smile.
"I know he was very friendly" Dr.Summer's says with a smile.
They walked out of the isolation ward and back to there patients.
