I figured that I should post something for Christmas, you know, since it is the season of giving.

I've decided to do it this way- YuBo gets Christmas and KaRe gets New Years.

Enjoy

And have a very happy holiday season.

Disclaimer: Nothing.

-Decorations-

Christmas time is filled with colors. It can be found in every light bulb, adorning every house, in the wrapping paper and bows, which envelop every gift and in the smiles of family members, gathered around a tree. To most people, Christmas represents gifts, sharing and giving them to everyone. Others see Christmas as the season of family, where everyone gets together and celebrates their unity and happiness. But to some, the holidays were about the decorations.

They believe in exchanging gifts and spending time with their families, but there was nothing more beautiful than walking, hand in hand, after dinner, on Christmas Eve and staring in awe at all the wonderful decorations. Most people did not decorate- they put up a tree, added a few ornaments and pilled gifts underneath its branches. However, with a little time and effort, the decorations, in an individual's front yard, can light up the whole neighborhood.

Yuriy smiled in awe- the place up ahead was astonishing. The sun had long set and the dark background of the sky, heightened the visual experience of bright lights, decorating the whole territory. There were lights strung up all around the house, in every window and on the front door. They were in the bare trees, lighting them up and there were so many different colors.

He squeezed a little, on Boris' hand, laced with his own, as they smiled at each other and continued to venture down the sidewalks.

Boris began to laugh as he pointed to a house, across the street. There was more than just lights everywhere- they had a sleigh, with a Santa and reindeers guiding him across the snow covered lawn. Yuriy chuckled as well; the last reindeer on the end even had a red bulb on his nose, to light their way.

The family communities were always more beautiful than downtown, where the only lights were those of lamp posts, after all the stores turned off their lights and closed up.

Most every house, in the area, had some form of decorations, but on the next street, they found the most incredible displays. The last one, before they turned back onto the street of their residency, had by far, the most impressive set up.

There were inflatable figures of snowmen, penguins and Santa, once again, decorating the entire lot. Every tree was adorned with ornaments, garlands, and lights. There were figures of reindeers, defined by strings of light and even beautiful angels, resting in the windows of the house.

The lovers stopped for a long moment and stared happily at the radiance and beauty of the decorations. It lit up their faces and shone brightly in their eyes.

''Borya…''

''Mmm…''

''It's beautiful, isn't it?''

''Da…''

They both thought that the decorations, above all else, best expressed the joys of Christmas.

The more…the merrier…Christmas would be.

-EndE-

A little play on words, at the end- heh! I've gotten past the materialism of Christmas and, unfortunately, not every year, we can spend Christmas with our family. So, when I feel like the Christmas spirit is leaving the holiday- I take a walk and truly appreciate the effort some people put into decorating.
