In Which Leo Loses a Bet
"Wait back up," Mike sputtered, "Leo lost a bet to you?"
Everyone, except Leo, was sitting around April's kitchen table. Raph was chuckling softly while shaking his head. Don had just proceeded to snort with laughter whilst in the process of taking a sip of coffee. Splinter had a humored smirk and Mike just looked stunned.
"I gotta know, what was the bet?" Rap snickered.
April just grinned, while Casey snickered hysterically. April and Splinter exchanged a look to which both started laughing.
"Okay seriously, now I've got to know," Don laughed.
"We made a bet that I couldn't wear six-inch heels all day in the shop without sitting down except for breaks or complaining for two weeks straight," April replied with a giggle.
"That's why you've been wearing heels all week," Mike chuckled.
Raph snorted while rolling his eyes.
"Ok so…what did Leo have to do if he lost the bet?" Raph asked.
April simply grinned. Casey was trying not to burst out laughing.
Don's eyes widened and he started laughing.
"What?" Mike sputtered, "What?"
Raph slowly grinned.
"Seriously?" he said with a look of pure glee.
"Dudes…tell me…I don't...Leo?" Mike ended with a question spying his elder brother standing in the doorway looking pissed beyond reason.
He was wearing black and electric blue six-inch stiletto pumps along with a loose black silk dress. He wobbled forward and cursed softly before wind-milling his arms and catching himself on the door frame muttering darkly.
Raph followed Mike's gaze and let out a howl of laughter.
"SHUT UP," Leo roared.
Don doubled over with peals of laughter once he saw him.
"Looking fabulous there Leo," Mikey teased between gasps of breath as he clutched his sides in laughter.
Leo glared in response causing April to let out a shriek of laughter before stifling it with giggles.
There was a thump as Casey fell out his chair, obviously trying to breathe as he gave out short squeaky shrieks of laughter.
Splinter was chuckling softly.
"It seems Leonardo, you may have learned your lesson about betting against Miss O'Neil?" Splinter inquired.
"Abundantly," Leo grouched, "How long do I have to wear this again?"
"Through practice tomorrow," April got out between gasps of laughter.
"How did you find those shoes in his size?" Don shrieked.
That set Mikey and Casey off laughing again.
"Hey Leo can I call you Leah til then?" Raph guffawed, sending both Mikey and Donnie off into shrieks of laughter.
Leo blushed crimson before glaring.
"Do it and die," Leo hissed in response.
"I…am….crying…"Don choked out, "oh my God I can't breathe."
"I'm calling you freaking Leah the Ballerina from now on dude," Mikey laughed from the floor.
"I hate you all," Leo grouched, before turning and storming away with awkwardly graceful movements and slamming the bathroom door closed behind him.
It was only then that Splinter allowed his own laughter to break free, tears of suppressed laughter showing on his cheeks.
