Jester and Jane walked in the forest talking discussing what was better this morning for breakfast. The toasted bread with butter and jam, or the strawberry tarts.

"You are so very wrong! The tarts were much better that some jam and bread!" Jane said to Jester as they walked.

"Jane I believe you are mistaken. You the wrong one! The jam and toast were crunchy and wonderful, whereas the tarts were so…"Jester trailed off.

"Tart?" Jane suggested. Jane looked at Jester. Both of them laughed.

"Yes, I suppose that is the correct word for it!" Jester looked at Jane. Jane was still laughing a little. He loved it when she laughed. He did not care what they were talking about, as long as he got to be around her. And recently with Dragon around that had gotten a lot harder. But now was one of the few times he had a chance to be alone with Jane, as Dragon was asleep in his cave and wished not to be disturbed so he may nap.

"Thank God for Dragons need to sleep constantly!" He had practicly said when Jane asked if he wanted to go for a walk. Jester stared at Jane's hand. He wanted so badly to hold it. He wanted to kiss her. But he did not want to ruin his friendship with Jane if she did not feel the same way he did. Jane looked at Jester. He was smiling at her with that cute little half-smile that he saved just for her. Jane looked down at her shoes. She liked Jester sure. But it was complicated. With Dragon around if they did get into a relationship they would never get to be alone. And the fact that the day after they started courting everyone in Kippernium would know and be asking when they were to be wed. 'If I do get into a relationship I want to take things slow, not rush. Or be rushed!' Jane thought to herself. Jane stared at Jester. Jester stared back at Jane. Each wanting the same thing, but yet always holding back.
