Severus caught a glimpse of long red locks whip pingaway round the corner, he had missed her again. Running to try and catch up with her he was shouting her name "Lily...Lilly wait up" he repeated several times, he was about to give up when
she heard him and turning round he ran into her crashing them both to be ground.
"Hey you",Lily was casual, unaware of his feelings for her. "I never see you anymore, I mean, I know it's hard us being in different houses and stuff, but you're never at lunch or anything anymore" Snape complained. He really did miss
his friend, missed her hugs, her encourragement when the griffindor lads were teasing him, but mostly missed her warm hugs, the closeness she allowed between them completely innocent on her part.
"I've just been busy" Lily protested. I've been making a portion, I think it's ready, tonight, I'll test it out tonight and I'll be able to come in the slytherin common room, we'll be able to talk for hours and no one will suspect a thing!
Severus though she'd gone made and the look her gave her showed what he was thinking! "Honestly Sev, I'm not mad, I've made polyjuice" she was practically bouncing up and down with excitement with this announcement, "I've got her robes and everything's
set but I need your help" such a pleading in her eyes, how could Severus resist such a charm with those eyes. "What do you need me to do" he tried to sound bored and Unexcited but he was practically busting with excitement, she wanted to spend quality
time with him, was willing to break school rules for him! "I just need the password Sev, to get in". With this Severus took a step back, unsure what to say to her, "Sev, what's wrong? I thought you'd be excited?" Lily couldn't understand
this reaction. Severus sighed "Lily, I am, and I'm so grateful you'd go to such lengths to spend time alone with me, it's just, the password, it's not right. Dumbledore should never have allowed it to be the password, it's wrong. Lily
had her hands on her hips, "Severus, just tell me, or I won't be able to do this." He took a deep breath and looked at his shoes, "mudbloods, that's the password and I don't want you using it, it's bad enough I have..."
Lily was silent, tears in her eyes so Severus took the opportunity to hold her, hold her close and inhale her scent. "I'm sorry Lily, I'm so sorry". Lily remembered herself, gave her friend a hug back the gently pushed away to break the contact, "it's
ok Sev, it's not your fault, it shouldn't be allowed...but I won't let it stop us... I'll be there tonight, after dinner make sure you're in the common room and I'll sit next to you, promise". With that she turned and ran to her next lesson before
she was late, and he turned and walked to the library, confused and concerned for his friend.
