Ok, this idea just came into my head so I wrote it. It didn't turn out as I had intended it to and makes little sense. Enjoy.

Just Reminiscing

Sirius and Remus were sitting in front of the fire at Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place discussing their marauder days.

'And remember,' Sirius was laughing so hard he could barely form a coherent thought, let alone a sentence, 'remember that time, with- with Prongs and- and the Giant Squid!'

Remus doubled over in laughter, although he was sure they were thinking of different times. James did seem to have a certain thing for Hogwarts' Lake's main inhabitant.

As he pulled himself so he was in a more respectable position he caught a glimpse of Fred and George Weasley poking their heads around the corner and quite obviously eaves dropping.

'And remember- remember what we did that night?' Remus gave Sirius the look he reserved for pranks. Sirius would know to play along and it would have amusing consequences. He didn't want to wait to find out what those would be.

'Yeah…' he said, trying to act like he was reminiscing.

'It was so good, you still haven't told me where you learnt to do that.' Remus lowered his voice and could almost sense the twins' eyes widening. Sirius' also widened a little as he caught on, figuring there was someone listening, even though he wasn't sure who.

'Well, maybe you just have to persuade me a little more.'

'Maybe I will.' His voice was low and seductive and as the were talking, Remus had been edging closer to Sirius and now they were barely a foot apart.

Their eyes met and they each knew the other was thinking about James' knack for making them do random things with the excuse that it was for the sake of whatever prank they happened to be planning at that point in time.

They were two inches apart.

They both whispered 'For the sake of the prank.', their voices low enough that Fred and George could not hear.

They leaned closer.

Their lips met and they both forgot about the prank, forgot about the Weasley twins (who's mouths and eyes were very wide now) and just let themselves be lost in the feel of one another.

'Wow.' was the only thought that came into Remus' mind as they parted, so he decided to voice it.

'Damn straight.' Sirius replied.

They both chuckled at the irony.

They both leaned in again before Sirius pulled back sharply. 'Who was it?'

Remus was very surprised and confused. 'What?'

Sirius leaned in again and whispered so quietly that Remus wasn't sure he hadn't imagined it one word. 'Listening.'

Remus giggled in a most school-girly kind of way but didn't seem to care. He leaned forward and bit Sirius' earlobe before breathing 'twins' into his ear.

Sirius laughed. Loudly. They both looked to the doorway where they could see Fred and George's heads with identical shocked faces. Sirius laughed even harder at their faces and made a mental note to thank Remus later for the idea.

'Come in boys, we've just been talking about some pranks we pulled when we were at Hogwarts. We hear you've come up with some beauts over the years, too. Care to share?'

Remus' voice was so chipper that the twins walked in and sat on the couch across from them, trying to figure out if they'd imagined everything after they spoke about the Giant Squid. They decided to do as the two marauders asked and began speaking of their favourite prank of last year, the Change-Mrs-Norris-For-The-Better prank, as their friend Lee had dubbed it. George hadn't let Fred change it, simply because it was Lee who made it up.

George was just getting to the good part when Mrs Weasley called 'Afternoon tea!' and a whole lot of red heads ran through the room.

Yeah, that was random, eh? I bet you thought it was nighttime or something then bam it's afternoon tea time. 'Tis so random and I am so tired. Reviews are loverly.
