Gordon Freeman found himself yet again standing in darkness, a large Vortigaunt stood before him, "I remember you," the Vortigaunt rumbled, "no, not your face, I remember your vortessence, from many years ago, with a different body." Suddenly a familiar figure in a gray suit walked into view.
"Do not listen to this rabble, Doctor Freeman," he calmly said, "we can choose to destroy the Combine, destroy them all with ease, the only thing you must sacrifice is this insignificant world."
'No, Freeman!" the Vortigaunt exclaimed, "This is not the path to choose. It will be more difficult, but you can still end the combine, while protecting this world, the Alex Vance must survive, we cannot risk her destruction, due to her connection with you."
"Doctor Freeman, would you risk the entire universe for so small a thing as the Earth?"
"We can unleash your true vortessence and end this war without the end of the Earth."
"Choose Doctor Freeman!" the man yelled, suddenly animated, "this alien scum or your own humanity? The Earth will end but you will still be human you will become less with this creature," the man said, gesturing towards the vortigaunt. Gordon Freeman looks from one to the other, turning his thoughts over in his mind. What path to take?
