Her brother was strong, but even strong people need to talk. Ishizu eased the door to her younger brothers' room open quietly and peeked in.

"Marik?"

"hmm?" came a distant response.

She stepped inside and saw him lying curled on his side on his bed, all of the lights in his room were off and his window was shut. She sat down on his bed and put her hand on his shoulder.

"Is everything okay?"

After a long hesitation he finally responded "Hey sis, do you think I'm still a monster."

"Why?" she asked, a little supprised

He sat up and tried to compose himself with deep shuddering breaths. She knew that hard times like this would come up eventually. She and Rishid knew that they'd have to talk him down at some point.

" Yugi invited me to go hang out with them yesterday. Well, apparently he didn't tell anyone else ryou, anzu, and jounouchi were upset about it. I tried to make the best of it but then jounouchi pulled me aside and yelled at me. He said that that they didn't trust me and they didn't think I had changed. He said that yugi only invited me because he felt sorry for me, and that,"

He paused to take a breath.

"He said that anzu was scared to be around me, that I'd hurt her just like I did before."

She looked at the floor, looking for something to say.

"You're our brother and I don't think that, we know you aren't."

"I know thanks. I'm glad.

She looked up at the door, where Rishid had stood silent. She nodded for him to come and sit. They hugged their brother until he finally relaxed. After a while of silence, he turned to her.

"Thanks, a lot. I love you," he turned to Rishid, "and you too."

"I love you too." They said back

"We got some ice cream today, do you want some?" Ishizu suggested

"Sure." He chuckled

"Come on then."

As they left the room, she made sure to turn the light on.
