Tick, tick, tick

Tick, tick, tick on the windowpane,

The steady patter of the rain,

The weeping sky is wet again,

The water's flowing down the lane.

The trees, they bow,

There's thunder now,

I fear for the cows,

As the lightning hits loud.

It sparks down deep,

And I hear a scream,

An unearthly screech,

And my skin creeps.

I look outside,

And nearly die,

As my eye spies,

Something terrifying cry.

Tick, tick, tick, on the windowpane,

A bony finger in the rain,

The screams of the cows slowly fade,

As I stare into its horrific face.

I jerk back in shock,

Throw the lock,

I hear it knock,

It's 2 o'clock.

In comes the thing,

I hear breathing,

And low scratching,

As I'm hiding.

I wake up that morning,

The sun is dawning,

There's blood adorning,

I enter mourning.

Crimson, crimson, everywhere,

My parents' blood into I stare,

From a lone eyeball is a beady glare,

Scattered bits of scalp and hair.

But I won't let fear cloud me here,

A lone, bone finger points to near,

My hiding place, where rests an ear,

I shed a tear, it knew I was here.

I cautiously creep down the stair,

Of it remains not hide nor hair,

Unlock my car, walk out to there,

A single glance I do not spare.

I call the police as I go,

Drive to the city, more than a stone's throw,

Live sixty years, and it doesn't show,

My memory still fresh although.

Tick, tick, tick, on the windowpane,

A familiar face out in the rain,

With no-one left to feel my pain,

That haunting image, here again.

A/N: HOLY CRAP NO.

Just writing that was horrendous…

And it didn't help that I made it at 2:44am!

Wow…

Shoutout to Roxanne, for making me not die inside too much, Kinky-senpai, as is called, for the inspiring ghost story, Kyuu for being Kyuu and Liz for making one in the first place to get me going. Now if you'll excuse me, time to sleep.

Or not…
