Alfred's POV~

As I walked into the room, my arms swaying like a leaf dancing through vigorous winds, concentration on my brow, my eyes immediately maneuvered to the centre of the small room, which clearly held the body of a woman; her clothes dyed crimson, the atmosphere abhorrent.

My partner, Kirkland and I kneeled beside the corpse, I placed a lantern on the mosaic floor, hoping to uncover new secrets which the room insphered. Blaze up. The clandestines were soon to be discovered by the most awesome detective the world has ever seen! I, for I am always the hero, always solve the most difficult cases without a hinch- I should mention my 'brother' or so he calls himself, Arthur. Arthur has always looked after me, ever since I was little. He made me... Me. He now acts my partner, he's the Watson to my Sherlock, the Robin to my Batman, the whoever superman had to my superman. I digress, back to the serious tone and lack of colloquial tone.

The woman appeared to have been deseased for around fifteen or so hours, judging by the state of the body, was laid to rest in an aberrant and peculiar manner, her limbs twisted like vines about a tree, her head faced downwards.

My partner continued examining the corpse while I, quite delicately might I add, excavated the room for clues, Behind me, was an archaic oak chest, I carefully opened the lid ajar, seeking a peek fully uncoveruncovering it's secrets. Inside was cut outs from newspapers dated to the infamous Jack the Ripper. Those killings were two years ago, Arthur had told me of the horrors that man had done to the people, he was not someone I wanted to mess with.

"After an adequate review of the body, I can confidently conclude" began Arthur, "that before being sliced open, the female was struck in the back of her neck, then had her uterus and lungs removed. Very horrific way to go but at least the poor lady was unconscious", Arthur's voice always somehow put an idea into my head, I can't explain it nor will I waste time trying, but he does. I didn't reply to his analysis, instead slowly creeping towards the second large oak door. I slowly twisted the door knob and looked inside, Arthur watching from afar. Inside the room, I saw a set of surgical equipment, the weapons and probably the most disturbing... A body identified as Jack the Ripper.
