"Okay so Shakespeare was considered- NEWTON, Pay attention, I don't want to have to give you a detention" I said in my unusually calm voice that threatened them more than just shouting.
"Sorry Miss Swan" Mike said sheepishly, ducking slowly lower into his chair from the gazes of the other students.
(BELL RING'S)
"Alright, your homework is to finish chapter eighteen, See you tomorrow" And with that I turned my attention on cleaning the black board and packing my things. I made a dash to the staff room, pushing the familiar door open and entering the staff lounge.
Teaching was never my original plan, I had wanted to become an actress and follow after my mothers footsteps, but after she passed away, I gave up the chance of stardom and came home to take care of my father. My father passed only a year later and I still hadn't got the chance to move away. I had no remaining family; my life was so pointless and empty. I had no friends; none of the other teachers ever talked to me let alone become my friend. To them I was the daughter of the old chief of police, who left her family and old friends to become more than just a small town girl. To them I was just another wanna-be.
I was only 21, I never even finished college, but the head of Forks High couldn't care less and hired me, something to do with the lack of teaching staff.
That night I marked tests and set new ones, checked my email, there was none by the way, and went to bed.
This was not the life I signed up for…
