Okay, I'm sure someone has written a scene for his death somewhere, but I had to write one myself. That scene is just so . . . powerful. Enjoy.
The Death of Cutler Beckett
As soon as he saw the Black Pearl and the Flying Dutchman turn towards him, Lord Cutler Beckett knew that he was going to die. The realization hit him like a cannonball. I am going to die.
"Orders, sir?" he heard his officer ask. He couldn't answer, couldn't think. "Sir!" I am going to die. It was just like Miss Swann had said. "We will fight and you will die." You will die. Explosions sounded around him as the two ships opened fire. I am going to die.
"It's just . . . good business," he whispered. He heard his officers giving the order to abandon ship. Maybe in other circumstances he would have jumped overboard with them, but there was no point now. You will die. I will die. Slowly, he began to walk down the steps to the deck of the Endeavor. Splinters flew around him as cannonballs tore the ship to pieces. The screams and cries of wounded men filled his ears, yet inside he was calm. I am going to die. He knew it and he wasn't afraid.
Suddenly, fire swirled towards him. His eyes widened as he saw death approaching with fiery arms ready to embrace him. Then all was silence and Cutler Beckett was no more.
Like? Not like? Frankly, I like so if you don't . . . screw you. Please review. I love reviews. Unless, of course, you have nothing interesting and/or nice to say. Anywho . . . just review. Please.
