James Potter sees the way the youngest Weasely looks at his son. He knows that look all to well, for that was the exact same look he gave his beloved Lily. It's Harry's 2nd year and he had spent time at the Weasley's house over the summer, as James assumed he would do many times over the years to come. Sirius did the same thing after all. James had heard that the Wealsey's had a daughter and he had wondered if his son would like her. It didn't seem like Harry liked her as more than his best mate's sister at the moment though. Oh, well. At least James knew the girl liked him.
James saw her time and again over the years. It was now Harry's 6th year and the girl still had the same look in her eyes. James decided to take her to the side before she got on the train.
"Mrs. Weasely, do mind if I have a word with your daughter?" James asked and then in a whisper he added, "So I can talk to her about winning Harry over?"
Mrs. Weasely smiled. "You sure can."
James looked at Ginny. She was just like his Lily. With her fiery red locks and the way she held herself like she was ready to fight at any moment, she looked like a younger Lily.
"Ginny, I see the way you look at him. And I want to tell you to go for it. He loves you too, he just doesn't know it." James advised her.
She looked at him with her warm brown eyes. "Thank you, Mr. Potter."
And then she ran to the train.
James hoped she would go for it.
Harry had just graduated. And Ginny had come to the house during the summer. They were a couple now. James smiled to himself and knew that he had made the right decision that day he told her to go for it. Harry was going to propose to her soon. But he wanted to wait until she graduated. So, the wait continued.
The day Ginny graduated, he proposed. She had came to their home afterwards and thanked James. He was the reason all of this happened.
James hugged Ginny and said, "Welcome to the family."
End.
