Hi, I'm the guy who wrote Avatar...not really but that would be cool. These characters are not my own, nor is their world. I just wanted to have a little fun imagining things they do.
Where...where am I? Blinking, she looked around. Slowly, the fog clears as the memories start trickling back. The invasion, the siege. She was by the sacred pool. The firebenders were attacking. One of them had just killed Tui. She had done the only thing she could think of...she gave herself to save the moon spirit.
As Yue looked around, she realized that she was the moon, looking over the world. As she explored herself, she realized she was now the ultimate waterbender. Not only did she have the power to move oceans, she could also control the ability of other waterbenders. She also started to notice the others, and the feeling she got from the people. While most humans felt the same, she found she could differentiate between the different water benders, based on how much or how little they depended on her. As she reached out, she felt a force stronger than any she had encountered. The Avatar. And suddenly, her heart fell. Finding Aang reminded her of Sokka. Sokka, the one boy who could make her laugh. Sokka, the first, and only, boy she ever kissed. Sokka, the only boy she ever loved.
As Yue focused on Aang, other humans came into focus as well. She could sense a strong waterbender with Aang...that must be Katara. But wait, there was another waterbender there as well...and another human. She assumed the other human was Sokka, but she had never felt a force like this new waterbender. She called upon the memories of Tui, and recalled him granting an ability to a young waterbender under fire nation control. Tui had foolishly granted this young waterbender the ability to sense and bend the water within another's body.
And then she felt it. The new waterbender was calling upon her to control not one, but two bodies. Before she could protest, the power had been given, and she felt a strange disturbance in the spirit of Aang and Sokka. They were the targets of the new waterbender's power. Yue decided it was time for her to step in. As the new counter to La, it was important she help keep the balance of power within the world. If this new waterbender could bend the blood of another, then she would give that power, and even more of it, to the only person she could trust. And so that night, the full moon gave Katara the power to save Sokka and rid the world of this bloodbender's menace.
