A/N: Yay, platonic Seblaine! So, I finally got some inspiration to write again and this is the product. It's not the best thing I've ever written, but it's something, and I'm hoping I can get back into a writing kick. I'll call it in-progress for now, but at the moment I'm not sure whether to continue it or just leave it at this. I'd have to come up with some actual plot if I were to keep rolling with it. Let me know! Okay. I talk too much. I own nothing, blah blah blah enjoy.
Sebastian walked into The Lima Bean at his usual time, ordering his usual drink with his usual charm, and was just about to sit down at his usual table when his eye caught something that was rather unusual. Blaine was at The Lima Bean. The Blaine; the one he hadn't seen since the end of last year, and definitely not on the best terms. Even through his shock, Sebastian didn't fail to notice that for once, Blaine was alone. No Hummel to get in the way. He smirked to himself before stalking over to Blaine's table and quickly sliding into the empty chair across from the other boy, grinning almost too giddily.
"Hey, Killer, where've you been? I haven't seen you here in ages. You miss me or something?"
The look he received from Blaine was all too familiar. It was that look Blaine would get when he'd pretend to be annoyed at Sebastian's rather impressive insults aimed at New Directions, or when he'd weakly protest at the not-so-subtle comments that were made about his ass. Only this time, there was something more to that look. Was it pain? Relief? Sebastian couldn't tell. Before he could figure out what it was, Blaine was sighing, rubbing a hand over his face and leaning back slightly in his chair.
"Look, Sebastian," he began, "It's really not a good time...I'd just really like to be alone right now, if you don't mind." Sebastian saw the pleading look in Blaine's eyes, but chose to ignore it, his curiosity getting the best of him.
"You know, you're a big boy now, Blaine. You need to have him here in order to speak to me. You don't need anybody's permission. Besides, I don't bite," he said with a wink, causing Blaine to groan and bury his face in his hands. "Sebastian, really. I'd just rather be alone," he insisted quietly, his face falling a bit. Sebastian made no move to leave him, narrowing his eyes and shifting back in his chair as he watched Blaine carefully. After a few moments, Blaine broke.
"What?" he cried, exasperated.
"You're fighting. You and Kurt," Sebastian said confidently. Blaine's eyes widened. "What? No, we're-that's none of your business anyway, and even if we were-"
"He broke up with you? Huh...wow." Sebastian interrupted Blaine's stuttering, a look crossing his face that could only be described as impressed.
Blaine opened and closed his mouth a few times before sighing miserably in defeat. "What do you want, Sebastian?" Sebastian smiled. "All I want is to enjoy some coffee, enjoy a nice conversation, and enjoy the view," he picked up his cup to emphasize his point, tipping it towards Blaine before taking a sip. Blaine rolled his eyes, a small, almost fond smile tugging at his lips.
"You haven't changed a bit, have you?"
