A/N: Happy Birthday Harry Potter and Joanne Rowling! I just thought to upload this fun little one-shot for Harry's birthday. Hope you think it's cute. Rated T for sexual themes at the end.
I don't own Harry Potter. J. owns Harry Potter as she is our Queen and was amazing at the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
The date was the thirty-first of July 2012. It was Harry James Potter's thirty-first birthday.
Nothing stirred in the Potter household in Godric's Hollow. A snowy owl fluttered through the open second story window to perch on a wardrobe and chew up a dead mouse. Photographs lined the wall, of weddings, babies and families, yawning in their frames. In the master bedroom, a couple slept.
That was until their three young kids burst in through the door.
"Happy birthday dad!" they shouted. The youngest, five year old Lily whose bright red hair was flying everywhere, leapt into the bed and cuddled as close as she possibly could to her father, closely followed by her brother Albus, a Harry lookalike.
"Thanks kids," Harry said with a smile. He quickly put on his glasses so he could see properly.
Ginny sat up to gather Albus in her arms with a smile on her face. James stood uncomfortably by the edge of the bed, torn between jumping in with his family or being a big boy.
"Do you want to snuggle too, James?" Ginny teased.
James crossed his arms in a fierce resemblance to his mother. "I'm a big boy mum," he argued. "I don't snuggle." But after a look from his mother he reluctantly crawled onto the edge of the large bed. Albus broke free of his mother's arms to jump on top of his brother. It seemed that James wasn't too old to tickle his younger siblings.
Once Lily had escaped James' arms she made her way back to Harry who had watched the interaction with amusement.
"Daddy, daddy," Lily squealed. "Open your present daddy!"
"Sure sweetheart."
Lily handed him a folded up piece of paper. Harry gently unfolded it to reveal a drawing of five stick figures drawn in colour-changing crayons. It was clear who each stick figure in the picture was, as they had glasses, red hair or a scar.
"Here you go, dad!" Albus said as he gave his father an envelope.
"Thanks, Al," Harry said.
"Hey!" James exclaimed. "It's from me too!"
"Well thank you James too," Harry said as he opened up the envelope. He pulled out a card with a flashing Happy Birthday on the front. Out fell three small pieces of paper. On further investigation he discovered them to be tickets for the Chudley Cannons next game on the weekend.
"See it's for us boys," James pointed out proudly with his chest thrusting out. "We can go and watch the game together."
Harry couldn't stop smiling. He had three wonderful children who loved him and a Quidditch game with his sons to look forward to.
"What about your present, mommy?" Lily asked.
"I'll give him his present later sweetie," Ginny explained. "It's not something for kids to see."
Harry looked up in surprise to see his wife smiling seductively at him. Yes, it definitely was a wonderful birthday.
Hope you liked it! Please review!
