Chapter 1 Prologue: The Nature of Chaos.

Chaos, one of the more…under appreciated elements that make up this world. It comes in many forms; unexplained weather phenomena, chronological displacement, buffalo dancing in tutus are just some of many things that are not welcomed around here.

So why did I bring these and many other things around? Quite simple really, I am a being of pure chaos, an amalgamation of many different creatures that make up this world with the power to do whatever I want to do. So some flying buildings here a cotton candy cloud there, just putting things out there in ways that they never should have been.

"Chaos is such a wonderful, wonderful thing."

But the enjoyment of my work was soon interrupted by the voice of someone I thought I had taken care of. "It's not as wonderful as friendship."

Turning around I see the source, the little purple unicorn and her friends, "Oh, this again." I moaned as I teleported down from the chair from which I was sitting on to confront them. It was then little miss cowgirl spoke up, "That's right. You couldn't break up our friendship for long."

Irritated I levitated her up, "Oh, Applejack, don't lie to me. I'm the one who made you a liar. Will you ever learn?" I then picked up the four others that I had corrupted and held them helplessly floating in midair. It was then the last one the one called Twilight Sparkle teleported into the middle of them creating a protective bubble and brought then back to the ground.

Upon landing Twilight stated, "I'll tell you what we've learned Discord. We've learned that friendship isn't always easy. But there's no doubt it's worth fighting for."

"Ugh, gag. Fine, go ahead, try and use your little Elements, 'frenemies'." I said tauntingly, teleporting back up to my throne. "Just make it quick. I'm missing some excellent chaos here." 'There is no way they can do anything; I broke them completely, although this should be amusing to watch.' I thought to myself.

As they lined up Twilight said, "All right, ladies, let's show him what friendship can do!" Only for the pink one to interrupt her, "WAIT-WAIT-WAIT!" I chuckled to see her standing under a chocolate milk cloud drinking it and when she was done the all commenced to try sealing me again.

As their elements began to glow a dreadful thought came to mind, 'Wait a minute wasn't that one's personality completely different when I had broken them.' The fear grew more severe as bolts of energy started shooting out of the necklaces. 'Oh no, this is bad, I need to do something and do it fast.'

But it was too late just then the full power of the Elements of Harmony hit me and began the petrification process. 'I know what I can do but I must act fast.' Trying to act against the power hitting me was no easy feat but I managed to use some of it to pull back the border of time and space but could only reach through and pull an unsuspecting fool from the other side.

"It's done Discord now turn back to stone!" Twilight had exclaimed. And with my last bit of time I barked back at her. "Yea so you won this time but Chaos always comes back; you can never get rid of it completely; in ways you can never imagine." With that last sentence my prison surrounded me and I was gone.

"What do you think he meant by that, do you think the fight is not over yet?" a worried yellow pegasus asked. Twilight responded, "I don't know Fluttershy but as long as our friendship is here with these elements there is nothing we can't handle."

Applejack suddenly cut in, "I agree with ya about that but we need to move something is coming this way!" At that moment the all looked up to see some object falling right where they are standing.

Running out of the way in time they all looked back to see the mysterious object crash where they were standing and when they looked in to the crater all they saw was a creature they had never seen before.

Thus ends Chapter 1 the Prologue, but what is this mysterious creature that these young heroines have never seen before? Is it friend or foe?
