"Ogiwara-kun,"
"Hmm?"
"Ogiwara-kun,"
"What is it, Kuroko?"
The taller teen looked down to his best friend, a grin firmly placed on his face as he sheltered his friend from the rain. It was quite useless seeing that the both of them were already wet, but Ogiwara kept trying to hide Kuroko from the rain using his new gakuran.
The tealheaded boy kept on staring at his odd best friend with morbid interest and slight irritation. "You don't need to shelter me from the rain, we're both already wet." Kuroko deadpanned, slightly irritated that Ogiwara refused to listen to him. But the slightly older male whistled like he didn't hear anything from his pale friend.
They were sitting on the bench where they used to play together all the time during grade school. And now, Ogiwara was in Ritsumeikan Middle School in Kyoto while Kuroko was in Teikou in Tokyo. But his raven-haired friend had always used every opportunity available to come and play to his birthplace and his best friend's house. Today was Friday, the usual day for Ogiwara to be in Tokyo.
And it also happened to rain. Since Teikou uniform consisted of a blazer and Kuroko was smaller one out of both, Ogiwara had took it upon himself to take off his gakuran and shelter them both from the rain at least until they reached Kuroko's house.
That was the plan, until Ogiwara-kun spotted a Chu Chu Popsicle vendor they used to frequent and bought them popsicles in the middle of pouring rain.
If Kuroko wasn't as silent as he was calm, he would have kicked Ogiwara-kun on his head for his airheadedness.
They were both drenched, and even the gakuran Ogiwara-kun was persisting to hold on top of them was wet. There were honestly no point for the gesture in the first place, but Ogiwara-kun persisted. And so, the both of them sat under a wet gakuran with a Chu Chu Popsicle on their hands, uneaten because it was cold.
Ogiwara-kun laughed good-naturedly. But Kuroko was starting to get annoyed.
"Honestly, Ogiwara-kun. Why do we have to sit here, on a wet bench under a very much wet gakuran and a pouring rain?" The tealhead deadpanned each sentence like it was a death verdict, earning a laugh from his airhead excuse of a friend. "Do you want to know the reason why we have to sit under a gakuran like this, Kuroko?" Kuroko stared at his childhood friend with blank stare, a trait he apt to do whenever he got too annoyed for Ogiwara-kun's antics.
"Come a little closer, I'll whisper it for you!" Kuroko shifted closer to his best friend, who then pulled down the wet gakuran to cover their faces and kissed Kuroko square on his lips.
Ogiwara-kun's lips were warm. Even though they've been soaked for a good fifteen minutes, Kuroko couldn't get enough of Ogiwara-kun's warm lips against his own cold ones. He tilted and let Ogiwara-kun kissed him again and again under the cover of the black gakuran.
But when Ogiwara-kun let go of the gakuran, the best friends panted as they looked towards one another. Both their faces darkened four shades darker before they threw their faces away, clearly embarrassed of their kiss earlier.
But Ogiwara-kun placed his warm hand on top of Kuroko's own, even though they still didn't look at each other, they both smiled.
I sure am glad that it wasn't one-sided...
Was what both best friends thought with a smidgen of red across their faces.
Teeheee~
