"Emergency! Hull damage eminent, All personnel abandon ship" Screeched the intercom as the aurora began to fall to plant 4546B. I was racing through the hallways trying to get to the escape pods the whole time my head reeling What happened? Did we crash into some debris? Were we shot at? If so who? And why? While all these thoughts were reeling through my head SLAM! I had just smashed a girl down into my escape pod which I hadn't realized was so close. She was dazed for a second but recovered quickly and shrieked "I need to get to my pod!"
As she said this the seamoth bay EXPLODED! Throwing us both back and setting fire to the pod bay entrance. We were trapped! I yelled over the roar of flames to the girl "Sit down in the other seat, this is my pod I can launch it!" She looked at me, obviously confused "I can't that is not protocol!" she yelled back. "It is also not protocoled for you to die" I shouted louder than before. She finally realized that there was no way to survive going to her own pod because of the fuel leaking from a wall that had not caught on fire. She strapped herself into the seat across from me while I worked on the launching sequence. As the countdown started I saw the fire move closer to that not ignited fuel at an alarming rate. 10...9...8…, the fire was 3 feet from the gas,...7...6...5...4...3…, it was an inch away,...2...1… launch. As the pod jerked sideways the bay exploded which sent the pod careening off toward planet 4546B.
