Dear Bolin,

Happy New Year. I hear your work with Kuvira is going well. Raiko put me on Prince Wu's protection detail… it'll be a loooong two years to have him at his aunt's level… and I don't know if he can become a better leader than her, not saying much for the monarchy.

The family's good, Asami has basically given them a house… we'll never be able to pay her back for her generosity. Kya came up to visit, she says Korra's doing better, maybe she'll be back soon? Has she written you? She hasn't written me and Asami. It's so bizarre to think we've only known Korra and Asami for two years… everything seems to have changed, huh? Oh, did you hear? Asami got a huge project, I haven't seen her much, even in the same city everything is just insane.
