The Kender Wizard

It was a dark, rainy, stormy night. The Tower of High Sorcery stood in front of its fearsome guardian grove. Blah blah. Now let's fast forward to the good part.

In the tower, the dark elf Dalamar Nightson was reading a particularly difficult spell book left to him by his late shalafi, our one and only Raistlin (reminder: the insane, ambitious mage with kooky eyes who's now in the Abyss having his guts torn out). When suddenly there came a knocking, as of someone gently rapping, rapping at his study door The Raven-Edgar Allen Poe. So our dear dark elf opens the door, and gasp! A kender there, and nothing more.

So Dalamar fights the urge to scream and asks, "Little Kender from far away, to what do I owe this visit today?"

The kender replies, "Why sir, I'd like to learn magic, if I may!"

So Dalamar the Dark does the only logical thing, he faints.

Dalamar woke in his bed. "Twas only a dream" he happily said.

"I am no dream" The kender replied, popping out of nowhere.

Dalamar gave a very girlish shriek. "I don't want to end up eternally damned like my dear shalafi! I have done nothing to deserve this! Oh the three moons I swear, I value my life much too dear. Leave me in peace upon this day! I will not teach you magic, so go away!"

Our kender gives a great heave and sob. He flattened his ear, and gave a great tug. "YOU MUST TEACH ME!" The kender screamed. "OR TO THE ABYSS I WILL SEND THEE!"

So with many a great shake and shudder, regaining his elegant manner, Dalamar screams, and disappears.
