Well this is my first ever fan-fiction! eeek! sorry its really short, later chapters will be longer.I'll add more chapters tomorrow possibly. please review and any advice would be helpful. I know its a bit boring to start...more comedy stuff in later chapters and lots of fluff! yays! :)

A dark haired girl and honey blonde boy ran hand in hand giggling, through the dark and crowded streets of Midgar. The two kids had always been inseparable, ever since they met in the lonely orphanage when they were only 3.Nothing at all came between them. The little girl pulled the blonde into a narrow alley way, where they sat on old crates eating their favourite sea salt ice cream.

"Cloud?"

"What Teef?" answered the young boy

"We'll always be together wont we..?" She asked

"Of course we will." He replied

"You promise?"

"I promise." He assured her.

"I love you" she blurted out.

with a quick peck of her lips she planted a kiss on his soft ivory cheek, and with that she was gone running once again through the crowded streets.

"beeeeppp beeeeppp!"

The noisy alarm clock woke Cloud from his deep sleep. That dream again. the event from years ago was always in the back of his mind and he couldn't get it out. Tifa 10years on had never mentioned that day in that dark alley which they called there "clubhouse" back when they were kids. Cloud often wondered if she meant it and longed for answers, yet never had the courage to ask, because the truth is Cloud loved her but would never let it show through his tough exterior.

"she wouldn't love me.."

he thought to himself.

Later on

After a hard days work deliveries Cloud joined his best friend the Turk, Reno in Seventh Heaven. The bar was practically empty on week nights. Tifa who now worked as a barmaid was busy cleaning, they gave a friendly wave to Tifa and took a seat at one of the corner tables. Reno was already drunk from god knows where he had been before hand. Cloud sat contently, listening to the redheads drunken conversation with amusement.

"Soooo Cloudy.." Reno drawled "You got a girl thenn?"

"er, what?" cloud asked, puzzled.

"A girl. Have you got a girlfriend!?"

"No I haven't Reno. And I don't intend to get one anytime soon.." Cloud sighed.

"Aww c'mon! There must be someone you like!"

Cloud just shook his head, blonde spikes swaying.

"Clooouudd, I've seen the way you look at Tifa." He teased

Cloud blushed as red as the Turks hair "How did you kno...i mean..no I don't!...shut up!!"

"Oooh don't worry Cloudy-poo I'll help you capture Tifa's heart!" He winked. "Meet me tomorrow again for your first lesson!" He laughed.

Reno Skipped out the bar chuckling to himself.

"What was all that about?" Called Tifa from behind the bar.

"Err..nothing Teef.." Cloud stuttered and made a quick exit to the nearest bathroom.
