He didn't even need to take a glance at the china glass clock purchased exactly seven years, four months and five days ago by his grandmother on holiday in Brussels to know it was time for coffee. No more than a second later it was confirmed by the quick tap on the closed door than it opening slowly.

"Hello Control, I was thinking to myself, geez Tony won't a nice cup of coffee be nice right about now? Than I thought to myself, Tony who else would like a cup of coffee now? And I thought of you."

"Correct thought indeed Tony, quite correct. Thank you." Tony nods with a slight smile as he gingerly places the mug on the desk to the left of a chess board set and ready for play.

"Control are you the white pieces or the black?"

"Actually I am the grey pieces." Tony raises both set of eyebrows and takes a closer look at the board, his nose almost tipping a rook over.

"Grey, Control?"

"Yes grey Tony, because to be a chess expert you need to play fast, so fast that the colors just blend together."

"Oh like magic!"

"Right-o Tony."

"Who do you play with Control?"

"Myself, I win about sixty percent of the time."

"Very good sir!"

"Thank you Tony."

"Well I should get back to work and my coffee, though it's a bit cold now I'd imagine, usually is, goodbye Control."

"Yes indeed and goodbye Tony." Tony quietly exists the room leaving Control sipping away at the silk black liquid staring at the pieces. "Okay here's hoping for sixty-three percent, your move." And he just sits there, tapping the desk waiting.
