One Choice... Me VS. Thee.
I started out writing two separate snippets for the ep Starsky Vs Hutch. one was supposed to be a poem and the other Hutch's thoughts, but on rereading, thought they sounded better together.
"One choice there is no other. A choice between right and wrong."
What a charmed life I led especially when I believed I had no choice what a deception that was because I did have a choice.
"one choice, one second in time that is all it took. One second and there was no turning back."
We joke that I am the brains of this outfit, but look at the havoc I caused all because of one choice I had to make between right and wrong. Such a simple thing and I chose Me over Thee, her over us.
"one choice, one thought, one idea, one action, one move and a trust is lost - a friendship changed perhaps forever."
I wish I could yell stop and have a retake, but we only get one chance and there are no retakes on this life.
"One choice to make it work, One choice for Me and Thee - one choice for the partnership that was - one choice for the brothers they are."
I think of all the tears and joy that we shared. Of all the pain suffered, and losses endured and how we overcame them and grew stronger because of it. I think of the two lives we lived, and the one soul we shared, but now all that is left are shattered hearts, and broken promises.
"A choice in either direction is all it will take, a choice for hope and a regaining of trust. A choice for Me and Thee."
I know, in the end, when it comes down to it, it will be your choice, your heart that will have to open once more to believe in us. I just hope the bond between us is stronger than the hatred that my choice created so that there is no more Me vs. Thee and once again there will be Me and Thee.
