We walked underneath the dark night stars,
Not knowing how we got this far,
Every single day we would stay,
And always watch the palm trees sway.
You would always look at me,
But deep inside you could never see,
The true me that's deep inside,
I feel like I can no longer hide.
One day I looked into your eyes,
And I knew I saw all your lies,
The lies that hid deep beneath,
And it circled 'round you like Christmas wreaths.
When I got my senses, I walked down the street,
Then I saw you go down to your feet,
You begged for forgiveness,
Your words made me breathless.
I kept you waiting,
Anticipating,
Of what was to come,
To be happy or to be glum?
After waiting for moments long,
I said in a voice that was singsong,
If you mean it to be true,
Then yes I forgive you.
That night we continued traditions past,
Hoping this relationship lasts,
Now we knew we would never miss,
'Cause this would not be our last good night kiss.
