Summary: Have you ever wondered exactly how Sam, Freddie, and Carly met? Here is my version of how it happened. Seddie. AU. Written for usuallybored's challenge.
It was a regular summer day for the six year old Carly Shay. Her brother had taken her to her favorite park. As soon as she got there, she immediately ran for the swing set. There were three swings, and only one of them was taken. In hopes of making a new friend, Carly sat next to the little blond-haired girl.
"Hi!" she said as she sat down. "I'm Carly Shay, I'm six." For some reason, her age was very important to her.
"Hey. I'm Sam Puckett, I'm invincible." She proudly puffed out her chest and stood on the (still moving) swing. This made Carly laugh loudly.
"Well then, Sam, want to be friends?" Carly asked.
"Really?" Sam asked surprised.
"Yep! We can be best friends and do everything together! Like-"
"Hold on, stop for a second," Sam interuppted.
"-shopping, and doing our hair and nails-"
"I SWEAR TO GOD, SHUT UP!" Sam yelled. Carly looked hurt. "I'm sorry, but look." She pointed towards another person walking towards them.
"Hi, I'm Freddie. Can I swing with you guys?" the boy asked.
"Um.. sure," Carly answered. "I'm Carly."
"And who is this purty little thing next to you?" He looked towards Sam, who was looking away slightly.
"I'm Sam," she said shyly. Sam was never shy, and she was curious as to why she was now.
Freddie picked a flower off of the bush near them. "Here, this is for you," he said, handing it to her.
She smiled. "Thanks. So..." She looked at Carly, who was smiling at them. "Uh, do you guys want to go play on the slide?"
"You two go ahead. I'm gonna go check in with my big brother." Carly walked away, looking back every few seconds to see how Sam and Freddie were getting along. She saw Freddie agreeing to go on the slide. She amiled again, and ran to Spencer.
Climbing up the steps, Sam found out that the slide was bigger than she had originally thought. Suddenly, she didn't feel so invincible. Freddie noticed her hesitation and held her hand. Blushing, she walked up the rest of the steps and sat at the top. There was plenty of room, so Freddie sat down next to her. They pushed off, and laughed all the way down to the bottom.
"Do you want to do it again?" Sam askd when they reached the bottom.
"Whatever floats your boat," he replied.
"Wow, that sure is original." She rolled her eyes, but stood up anyway.
From across the playground, Carly sat watching. She thought they were really cute together.
"Who are they, kiddo?" Spencer asked.
"My new best friends," she answered with a smile.
Ten years later, they were still best friends. Sam and Freddie weren't going out, or even flirting or being romantic anymore. He liked Carly, Sam fought with Freddie, and Carly played peacemaker. Still, whenever they walked by the old playground, they remembered their romance at six. (And secretly wished they were still like that.)
Ta da! All done! So, how did you like it? It's not my favorite, but I figured I may as well try it, and hope other people like it. Review and let me know if you did! Thanks, love you all! :D

p.s. The challenge posted by usuallybored was to have a Sam/Freddie pairing, and use these lines:
"I'm Sam Puckett, I'm invincible."
"I SWEAR TO GOD SHUT UP!"
"And who is this purty little thing, next to you?"
"Whatever floats your boat."
"Wow, that sure is original."
