I can't believe myself. Why did I do it? Why can't I just tell him my true feelings? Why am I so rude to him whenever we meet?
I have just gotten back from Severus' house, where my sister Narcissa and I had gone for information about our Master and his plans. Narcissa ended up making the unbreakable vow with Snape. Gosh, would I love to be holding Severus' hands, making a promise to each other.
I hope my husband never finds out about that. Actually, I don't think I'd mind very much. He's been being sort of a jerk lately. If we divorced over this, I'd be available! Maybe then Snape would make a move! But, no. He thinks I hate him. That's partly my fault. Actually, it's all my fault. I remember the day I first met him like it was yesterday.
It was my first ever day at Hogwarts, and I was terribly lost. I was supposed to be going to Transfiguration, which was on the 1st floor, but I didn't know how to get there from the Slytherin common room, down in the Dungeons. Come to think of it, I didn't even know the way out of the Dungeons! There was no one around to help me, because I was already late. Narcissa, my older sister, said the school was big, but I hadn't imagined it to be this big! I slumped down against a wall outside of the dungeon doors, closest to the Potions classroom.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from it. I was a bit worried, hoping that it was not the potions master, Professor Slughorn, who I'd heard didn't really care if you were lost or not, if he caught you in the halls without permission, you'd be punished unless you were on of his favorite students. But it was not him. It was a boy, with long, oily, black hair and a pale face. He looked about 13 years old.
"Who are you?" the boy asked when he saw me.
It seemed like an extremely pleasant feeling had exploded inside me. My whole body was tingling. I had never felt like this before. He gave me a strange look, so I knew I had to say something. "I'm...um...Bellatrix Black" I stammered.
"What are you doing down here?" the kid asked.
"I'm lost."
"Oh where are you supposed to be?"
"Transfiguration."
"Come on, I'll show you the way." He helped me up and led me to a staircase I hadn't noticed until he pointed it out. "I'm Severus by the way, Severus Snape."
