"Hilde.."
"Huh?"
"Do you believe in ghosts?"
A rustle of blankets and a head shake.
"No? Really?"
"Really."
"Then what's that!"
Hands enclosed on femine shoulders and the shoulders were shaked wildly.
A beat of silence.
"Were you scared?"
"No, Duo."
"You never get scared!"
Another beat of silence.
"You try that trick every night.."
A rustling of blankets and a body rolls over onto its side. A loud sigh follows.
"You're pretty brave."
"Thanks Duo. Time to sleep now?"
Silence.
"Duo?"
Silence.
"Duo?"
"Can you turn the lamp on?"
"What? Why?"
"I scared myself."
"It's ok. I'll be brave for you."
A body rolls back over and brings the smaller one into a tight embrace.
"You're like my superhero. Always there to protect me from the ghosts."
"Well, when you scare yourself so often I sort of have too huh, hon?"
